Lessons from LDCs’ responses to COVID-19: From crisis to opportunities?

Although most least developed countries (LDCs) have yet to see large numbers of COVID-19 cases, they are all confronting the economic impacts as the virus disrupts the globe.  From global demand shocks to supply chain disruptions to significantly reduced income from tourism and remittances, for countries with high poverty rates and informal employment, there is potential disaster.

But with this crisis there are opportunities, and some LDCs can use coronavirus recovery to undertake much-need reforms. Read about what some LDCs are doing, and what they could do here.
